Yolanda is your typical five-year-old. She loves kittens, jumping on the trampoline, singing and dancing and watching YouTube videos. But unlike other kids her age, Yolanda has a heart condition. Just days after she was born, Yolanda was diagnosed with Tricuspid atresia, an uncommon form of congenital heart disease.

Yolanda had two open-heart surgeries before turning a year old. She has another scheduled for next year. Currently she takes daily medications, uses oxygen when needed, and her mom must watch her closely. If she comes down with any kind of illness, she immediately has to be taken to the hospital for treatment. Yet through it all, there is a constant smile on her face.

And that famous smile gets even bigger when she talks about her wish to go to Disney World. Yolanda’s looking forward to meeting Mickey Mouse, Bell and all her other Disney friends. And she has one very special request…to have a dinner party with her favorite characters. I bet they’re looking forward to meeting Yolanda too!
