The Westlake Technical Entertainment Crew works together to put on professional level productions while promoting leadership, camaraderie, and fun.

Originally formed over two decades ago as the extracurricular arm of a small technical theater program, TEC has grown to include over one hundred members of the Westlake High School student body. It now has a direct impact on nearly every student in the district via its behind-the-scenes technological support through aspects such as lighting, audio, and set design.

First opened in 1985, the Westlake Community Performing Arts Center is a multipurpose performance venue situated on the Westlake High School campus. In 2009, the Westlake Community Performing Arts Center went under renovation, and was given it's current name, previously known as the Westlake High School Fine Arts Facility. This state-of-the-art facility is run year-round by staff and members of the Westlake Technical Entertainment Crew.
